Crater Lake National Park

How to get there

Enter the park from the west (Medford, about 75 miles away) or the south (Klamath Falls, about 55 miles away) on Route 62, or from the north on Route 138.

The North Entrance is closed from around October - June each year because of snow, there are signs indicating if the entrance is open or closed at the Route 138 / Route 97 Junction.

If in doubt about which route to take around the time when the North Entrance may or may not be open, aim to go to the Southern Entrance to avoid arriving at the Northern Entrance only to find the road snowbound.
